Our Philosophy & Approach

Nature is central to our philosophy. Whether sessions take place outdoors or simply incorporate natural imagery, rhythms, and metaphors, we honour the restorative relationship between human beings and the natural world. Nature offers not only grounding and regulation but also mirrors growth, change, and resilience in profound ways.

Our Therapy Philosophy and Approach

As an eclectic, nature-based therapist, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet each client where they are. I believe that no single method fits everyone, and so I integrate approaches such as person-centred therapy, mindfulness, somatic awareness, cognitive-behavioural techniques, and depth psychology—depending on what best supports your unique path.

Nature plays a central role in my work. Whether we're meeting outdoors, incorporating natural metaphors, or simply attuning to the rhythms and wisdom of the earth, I believe the natural world can be a powerful mirror and co-regulator in the healing process. Nature invites us to slow down, reconnect with our bodies, and remember that we are not separate from the world around us.

My work is grounded in the belief that healing is relational—within ourselves, with others, and with the more-than-human world. I hold space with deep presence, curiosity, and respect, creating a compassionate container where you can explore your inner landscape and find your own way forward.

Trauma-Focused Support For All Ages

Children

With younger children, I use a playful, developmentally attuned approach that might include nature play, storytelling, art, and body-based regulation tools. I focus on creating safety and connection, helping children make sense of their feelings and experiences in ways that are non-verbal and nurturing. Caregiver involvement is an essential part of the process to support healing at home and beyond.
Teens

Adolescence can be a turbulent time, especially for those navigating trauma, identity, or relational challenges. I offer a nonjudgmental, affirming space where teens can express themselves freely, explore big emotions, and build tools for emotional regulation, boundaries, and self-worth. Nature-based practices can be especially powerful in helping teens ground, gain perspective, and access calm.
Adults

For adults carrying the weight of past trauma, chronic stress, or disconnection, therapy offers a space to untangle and integrate those experiences in a grounded, gentle way. I support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, reclaiming their voice, and cultivating resilience. Through both talk therapy and somatic/nature-based practices, we work toward safety, meaning, and emotional clarity.
How I can Help

I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Your story, experiences, and needs are unique — your therapy should be too. I integrate a range of evidence-based approaches to support your growth, healing, and self-discovery. Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR): Trauma, big or small, can impact how we see ourselves and connect with others. AF-EMDR is a gentle, effective approach that helps process painful memories, reduce emotional distress, and strengthen your sense of safety and self-worth. Somatic Therapy: Our bodies hold the stories our minds can't always tell. Somatic therapy brings awareness to how emotions and experiences live in the body. Through gentle practices, we work to release tension, regulate your nervous system, and build a deeper mind-body connection. Walk and Talk Therapy: Healing doesn’t have to happen within four walls. For those who feel more at ease in nature, Walk and Talk Therapy offers a refreshing alternative to traditional sessions. Together, we explore your thoughts and emotions while walking outdoors — supported by movement, fresh air, and the grounding presence of nature. Your Journey, Your Pace
Whether you're seeking support for trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, or simply wanting to reconnect with yourself, I’ll meet you where you are. Together, we’ll explore what feels right for you — blending approaches to support your healing, growth, and resilience.
