Informed Consent & Confidentiality
At Orka Mind & Wellness, your privacy, autonomy, and trust are deeply respected. Entering therapy is a personal decision, and it’s important you feel informed, empowered, and safe throughout the process.
Informed Consent
Therapy is a collaborative process. You have the right to understand the methods, approaches, and goals of our work together. You’re encouraged to ask questions, give feedback, and participate actively in your healing journey. You can also choose to pause or end therapy at any time.
Before we begin, we will review:
-
The nature of therapy and the types of treatment offered
-
The potential risks and benefits
-
Your rights as a client
-
Fees, scheduling, and cancellation policies
-
How your information is used and stored
Your signed consent acknowledges that you’ve been given this information and agree to engage in therapy with full awareness.

Confidentiality
Everything you share in therapy is kept strictly confidential. Your personal information, session content, and records are protected and will not be shared without your written permission.
There are a few legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality, including:
-
If there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or someone else
-
If there is suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable adult
-
If records are subpoenaed by court order
In such cases, we will do our best to discuss the situation with you before any action is taken.
Your safety, dignity, and privacy are our top priorities. If you ever have concerns about confidentiality or consent, we’re here to talk about it.
